Hold the saw?s upper handle with one hand and utilize the other hand to pull through to the start cord. It must be a smooth, quick stroke.
When the engine begins to show over, push the choke back in halfway and pull the starter cord again.
The engine might require several pulls before starting.
After the engine is running, adjust the choke to the "run" position.

Allow the engine to idle for about a minute to get warm.
Test the operation of the chain brake, right before you? chainsaws tips re prepared to start cutting. To do this, release the chain brake and allow the chain to show. Then engage the brake and ensure that the chain stops. If the brake is in working order, get into position, release the brake and commence cutting.
To stop the chainsaw engine, turn the on/off switch to the "off" position.
